10 Reasons Why Halloween Is For Adults

A lot of people are scared of vampires and werewolves as children, but when we get older we usually grow out of that. Here’s why Halloween is so much more awesome as a “grown-up”.

1.You can actually carve a pumpkin now🎃. You can use a super sharp knife, not one of those awkward plastic things to properly carve the details of your ghoulish pumpkin face. Please note: this was my first ever pumpkin.

2. And you can even bake with them, lots 🍰. Pumpkins are an incredibly versatile vegetable. From soup to pie. You can do more than you would think. A few years ago I made my self-named pump-nies. A new take on a sweet pumpkin brownie. This recipe is also in my blog.

3. You don’t get as scared 😳. Unless you scare easily you can enjoy watching all the family films that are based on witches, werewolves and vampires.

4.Make-up is totally on the cards🦄. You can go all out with your contour, eye-liner, lipstick or scar-effects. And you might even have a friend who can do special effects make-up or knows how to make your head look like it has a knife coming though it. Or you can just face paint your own face… 5. Dressing up is more cool now because there are more options 😈. You can go hybrid, old-school, futuristic, animal, etc. There’s no limit to your costume ideas now you’re an adult and can do what you want. How about a skeleton, dead hippy or pirate for this year?

6. You can go full on horror or go all out sexy 😉. Now you’ve got make-up and aesthetics at your disposal your choices are ever expanding. Go full-on evil werewolf or as a sexy devil…. 😈

7. You can go out with all your friends👩🏼‍🎤👩🏼‍🏭👩🏼‍⚕️👨🏾‍🚒👨🏿‍✈️. You and the guys can hang out without your parents now and enjoy yourselves. Your mum won’t be tweaking your outfit and your dad won’t be telling you off. It’s great.8. And probably get drunk 🍻. Bobbing apples is even more cool when there’s apple vodka in there. Fizzy drinks become cocktails and an array of homemade witches fingers or zombie sausage rolls.

9. Decorating your house I s a dream 🐺. Wether you are a fan of ghost lanterns, wolf heads or skulls, you can make your home your own bleak and creepy treat.

10. Finally, you can eat all the sweets you can manage without being stopped 🍭.
